We are now venturing into production of alternatives to plastic bags. From our experience with the group making paper mache products, we are confident that these women will have the creativity to expand the type and range of paper bags we can make with painting and block printing techniques. The women who can use a sewing machine will be given the task of making jute and cloth bags. Recently, the Delhi government banned the usage of plastic bags. We are capitalizing on a movement which has just begun and there will be definitely a larger demand for paper and cloth/jute bags which will be to our benefit. |
