
The surveys done by the volunteers from Delhi University helped identify our target groups. These were:
| | - All children either born with intellectual disability or “at risk” for developmental delay as well as children with other kinds of disabilities, including children suffering from malnutrition.
- Women who are mothers of children with disability and in particular the intellectually disabled.
- Siblings of the persons with disability and particularly the girl child.
- Other women in the community in general, who though not mothers of disabled children share the deprivations caused by poverty and its implications.
- The community at large and particularly the local government authorities, the important persons in the areas and other NGO’s and organizations dealing with any of the issues we will cover.
- The “dais “or the traditional mid wives.
- Local schools and in particular the schools for the poor run by the Delhi Government and Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
