To create an on line facility offering information on issues pertaining to intellectual disability, share knowledge on national and international events, research studies, and provide a platform for sharing common concerns. The Communication Network on Disability, (CND) is a new programme. However, we have made a small beginning and have begun compiling relevant data about intellectual disability in India. The fact that there is as yet no centrally monitored information source on disability in general and intellectual disability in particular, makes this a crucial and urgent need. As members of both the Inclusion International ad the Asian Federation, we are in the unique position of being able to provide local, national and international information/support/referrals on issues pertaining to intellectual disability |
